Authentication session cookies (essential).When you sign in, our authentication provider, Supabase, sets a session cookie in your browser. This cookie is what keeps you signed in as you navigate the site — without it, you'd be asked to log in on every page. It doesn't track your activity across other websites and isn't used for advertising. This is the only cookie the site itself sets.
Google Sign-In (if you use it).If you choose to sign in with Google instead of an email and password, Google's own sign-in flow may set cookies on Google's domain as part of that process, before you're redirected back to us. Those cookies are controlled by Google, not us — see Google's own privacy and cookie policies for details.
yap. has no advertising and doesn't use advertising or ad-targeting cookies of any kind. As of this writing, the site also doesn't use any analytics, tracking, or marketing cookies or scripts (no Google Analytics, no ad pixels, no third-party trackers). If that changes in the future, we'll update this policy before we turn anything like that on.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. Since the only cookie this site sets is the authentication session cookie described above, blocking it will prevent you from staying signed in — there's no tracking or advertising cookie to selectively opt out of instead.
